If you want to change the jboss.bind.address property use the "-b" option in when calling the JBoss startup script (run.sh or run.bat in the bin directory).
For example

run.sh -b

enables jboss to listen for connections on the address of the machine.

run.sh -b

listen on all IP addresses of the machine (if multihomed)

On JBoss AS 7 (and later) you can bind the public interfaces using:

standalone.sh -b

On the other hand, you can bind Management Interfaces using:

standalone.sh -bmanagement=
